Our friends children went there. They have lost at least three directors in the past two years. One of the directors left screaming calling the owner racist. Their Google reviews demonstrate a lack of sound management practices so it is hard to believe that the owner is so very available, as you mention. If the owner was, then why are there so many management problems? It is my understanding that she is disconnected from parents and staff and does take several vacations in a year, passing on any parent issues to those who she will not let make the decisions.
Well I won’t disregard other’s reviews of her, and I wasn’t very happy with her response rates either. But here are some factual observations I had during my DC’s 1.5 years there. There was no change in directors the entire time we were there (possibly during the beginning of COVID but I have no idea, there was turnover everywhere at that time). Only heard about the one that left very recently from current parents, and IMO she had major attitude problems. I highly doubt the owner is racist since the other director still there is of the same race as the one who just left, and the one still there is awesome and loved by everyone. Also, the owner was always on-site and works til late. When we toured the school on a weekend or holiday, I can’t remember anymore but the school was closed, the owner was the one that gave us the tour so apparently she regularly works weekends or holidays. More importantly, and back to the point of the thread, yeah responsiveness is something the school can work on. But once there, DC was happy and learned a lot.
