Not OP but I started making Christmas lists and doing some holiday planning today. (And I have 2 family birthdays to get through in the next month.) Maybe there was something about the slightly chilly day that made us think about Christmas. No need to snippy about it. I feel like we need to start some kind of #KEEPTHEFOODFORUMNICE
+1! If you aren't interested just don't comment people, please. Geez, DCUM is so full of freaking Heathers sometimes, I swear. OP thank you for posting this because I too am already starting to think about Cmas and it takes me several months to get my act together. I appreciate the recs in this thread! I usually do the following: * "Spritz" cookies, but rolled/cut-out instead of pressed because that's how my mom always made them * Vanillekipferl, which are such a pain to make but DH's favorite and very tasty * Chocolate cherry thumbprints * Pumpkin cookies - yes they feel more Thanksgiving, but they are so good * Gooey buttercake cookies/bites, because I am from St. Louis :) Side note to the poster who asked about puppy chow cookies (though I wasn't the one who mentioned them), they're a spinoff of the puppy chow mix made with Chex, which is really addictive. https://www.punchfork.com/recipe/Puppy-Chow-Cookies-Cookies-and-Cups https://showmetheyummy.com/best-puppy-chow-recipe-aka-muddy-buddies/
