That kind of black-and-white thinking is equally part of the problem. Concerned about wingnuts hijacking religion? So am I. But you’re only driving them deeper into their shells with fury and hyperbole like this. How about engaging people with different opinions with respect and logic, you’ll get more bees with honey.

Religion is a real threat to American democracy and civil rights, and we have seen that grow AND SUCCEED in very recent history.  Facts, logic, science, and the constitution are the things we need to defeat the threat.  If you do not accept those things you are part of the problem.  And as the article shows, many don't, whether they are registered republicans or not.[/quote]
