Then at 6yo, we flipped it and now he’s on top and use the bottom area for toy storage. We also bought the canopy that goes over it. Only thing to keep in mind—it takes a 5” mattress, which can be difficult to find. (Bought one on Amazon) My friend uses a normal mattress for her daughter and it’s fine. But it makes the side rails a little short. I figure he’ll be in here until it’s time to get him a larger bed when he’s a teen. [/quote]
