Would APS ever consider doing what Alexandria is doing with their HS and splitting it up between grades?
What would be the benefit of that for APS?
We have excess capacity at elem and middle school so maybe move to k-6 ; 7-9 model? Of course turning HB into high school only would free up 300 high school capacity for a lot less effort.
You’re talking about something different than I believe pp was suggesting. Either way, what you suggested is a permanent change to address a temporary problem. When the current cohorts of MS/ES move into high school, overcapacity in HS will get relief while the next cohort coming up might be too much for ES capacity.
