I come out and he says "You didn't get me anything?" Um, no. He walks with me and we see my friend. He sits with us and watches videos and makes comments like "You're not going to give me any?" and "Hey you should see this; it's so cool." Friend gives me WTF looks and I shrug.

We finish eating and my friend offers him the one piece of dim sum she didn't eat "for his trip home." He doesn't take the hint and says "Don't you want me to come with you, like for protection?" We point out he didn't notice the two different homeless men who approached us while we were eating bc he was deep into his anime on his phone. We finally shake him and head off. The following Tuesday he tells me at school he had fun on our date. I say "What date? We never went on a date." He seems confused.

I find out the next week he'd gone around telling everyone he and his girlfriend are in a bit of a fight. When people find out he means me they either laugh or say "Does she KNOW you think she's your girlfriend?" It was the most bizarre thing. [/quote]
