I went on a date in my early 20s that was magical! I lived in a DC suburb and he took me all over the city, knew the managers/owners at every restaurant/club, and we got super special treatment at every place we walked into with things like back of the house tours and really nice women who worked there would bring me drinks and show me around, then we'd do it all over again. Repeat, repeat, repeat every 30 minutes all night. There was a quick burst of rain as we exited one place and he carried me across the street to his nice car and spun me around in the middle of the street. Like a movie.

Friends, it took me a few days to figure out that this man was a drug dealer and I had been on his rounds with him.

Weirdest for sure: In college, end of class on a Friday afternoon, a group of us are talking and a guy asks what I'm doing that weekend. I say on Saturday I'm going to a museum and then meeting up with a friend for lunch and a hike/walk. He says cool, I'll meet you at the museum. Oh, okay. Saturday morning I get there right when it opens, an hour later the guy texts where are you? I tell him I'm inside and at which exhibit room. 25 minutes later he strolls over. Proceeds to sit down on a bench and start watching anime videos. Keeps trying to get me to come look at them.

About an hour later I'm finished at the museum and tell him I'm leaving. I start walking to the place I'm picking up lunch and he decides to wait outside while I go in. I come out and he says "You didn't get me anything?" Um, no. He walks with me and we see my friend. He sits with us and watches videos and makes comments like "You're not going to give me any?" and "Hey you should see this; it's so cool." Friend gives me WTF looks and I shrug.

We finish eating and my friend offers him the one piece of dim sum she didn't eat "for his trip home." He doesn't take the hint and says "Don't you want me to come with you, like for protection?" We point out he didn't notice the two different homeless men who approached us while we were eating bc he was deep into his anime on his phone. We finally shake him and head off. The following Tuesday he tells me at school he had fun on our date. I say "What date? We never went on a date." He seems confused.

I find out the next week he'd gone around telling everyone he and his girlfriend are in a bit of a fight. When people find out he means me they either laugh or say "Does she KNOW you think she's your girlfriend?" It was the most bizarre thing.

The only time I say this to a guy after a first date is if he didn't seem interested in me (asking questions about me and flirting a little/complimenting me) or if he used the date to complain/talk about his ex.

Mine brought his mother and sister to the date.

I had a guy take me back to his house to show me a guinea pig house he built in the back yard. I hate guinea pigs!

Yikes, yours is creepy OP!

Mine was late by 20 minutes, said it was because he had a date with a dominatrix right before me, and then he wanted to take me back to his office (!) where he had some fancy wine. I stuck around for a bit because I found him entertaining but then exited after 15 minutes or so. Thankfully he wasn't creepy, just clueless.

Mine was a guy who talked about how hot strippers were, how he’d give me the time of my life after he went to a strip club alone, after he parked the car to drop me off he tried to lay down on top of me while muttering “Larla you’re turning me on so bad”. Oh, and he also asked if I would drive him to and from surgery the following week.
