I vaccinated my preschool-age children but I think this is harsh.  It's a new vaccine for an illness that is comparatively less dangerous in children.  Whatever our personal feelings (I was excited to have access to the shots), public enthusiasm for little kid vaccines is just not what it was for adults.

Moreover, the situation has changed.  In the spring of 2021 when vaccines were rolling out to adults, they were wildly efficacious in preventing most infection and transmission.  It was clear that our children were MUCH safer around vaccinated adults.  I haven't seen any data to suggest my little kids are particularly safer around other little kids who are vaccinated for COVID versus not.[/quote]
