A reddit poster cited a CNN story that for the week of July 4th, EAW was the most watched non-English language show on Netflix and the #1 Netflix show in 8 countries. Netflix has had a lot of success with some pretty dark Korean dramas (Squid Game, DP-- both excellent), so I'm glad to see this one also getting high ratings. It means Netflix will continue to invest in Korean programming, but they won't see the darker/grittier dramas as their sole bread and butter.[/quote]
