Op here. Thanks for all the input. I decided to just give My Fitness Pal a try again. I like that it is simply calories in/calories out, and I don’t have to worry about points, color codes, carbs, macros, etc. And I like that it syncs my workouts automatically through Map My Run.
Hey OP...I'm a teacher too, only I'm about 75 pounds overweight and it is HARD. I've been working to lose weight for years now. I think Noom is great with their lessons, but when it comes down to it it is calorie counting. It's just not realistic for ME...again, for ME. It is too cumbersome. I also think Noom is very gimmicky with their initial catch: you can be 155 by Jan 17! Ok, sure. I started the Beachbody program after watching Katie Moore Wellness on Instagram. YES, it is an MLM...but the tracker and the general idea is SO easy: water first, veggies most, dinner and done. No counting, no weighing. I also started at Burn Boot Camp and although my weight won't budge, people keep commenting on how I've lost weight. It transforms your body pretty quickly! Hope that helps.
