While I can’t speak to that, in general, among Liberty District schools, the largest numbers of kids try out for limited spots on Yorktown’s sports teams (on teams with cuts). [b]This is due to the demographics of kids who try out.

So for soccer specifically, the odds would likely be better at any of the other Liberty District schools.

The demographics of the kids who try out is a reflection of the demographics of the school - Yorktown has the largest number of UMC white kids who want to play sports and are financially able to participate in athletics of any school in the Liberty District.  At other schools the focus is more on academics and/or there are more kids who can't spare the time to be on teams because they are working part-time jobs.  [/quote]
