Riemer also chronically underfunded school construction, resulting in overcrowding and sick buildings that made reopening more complicated. As far as housing, you are right that Riemer is responsible for housing policy. The result is a housing crisis. Maybe we would have been better off he had focused on something else. Transit is no better than when he started. Riemer is good at making people think he’s doing something, but he’s probably doing something else. He’s the perfect candidate for a disengaged electorate that cares more about image than outcomes. [/quote]
