I spent every weekend of my childhood on picket lines or protesting with my leftist parents. I’m liberal myself - but I would not take my young children to a protest when our country is overrun with guns and right-wing domestic terrorists. And we don’t go to large public events in DC for the same reason. Parents teach kids values and political consciousness by talking to them, volunteering with them, giving them reading material, etc. [/quote]
