You’re a coward and should be ashamed of yourself for the example you’re setting for your children.

Nope. I spent every weekend of my childhood on picket lines or protesting with my leftist parents. I’m liberal myself - but I would not take my young children to a protest when our country is overrun with guns and right-wing domestic terrorists. And we don’t go to large public events in DC for the same reason. Parents teach kids values and political consciousness by talking to them, volunteering with them, giving them reading material, etc.

Who was the guy that fell at the beginning of the clip? A reporter?

This. At any given moment a protest is probably the safest spot in DC. I know the thought of people questioning authority probably scares the PP, but that's an irrational fear.

No none said anything about “questioning authority” here. That’s not what protesting is about. The insurrectionists were “questioning authority”. Is that who you want to align yourself with?

Protesters are not about questioning authority? That's a new slight of hand trick

You're kidding right? I've been at plenty of protests in my life (and engaged in other forms of activism) but I woild never take my children. Sure, an older teen who can make their own decision to attend and can physically withstand the heat/walking/etc. I have neighbors who love to take their elementary aged child to marches including this one. He complained to me and asked me if he could just stay at our house. When I asked, he didnt even know what the march was about. It's gross to use children as activism props and for parents' virtue signaling.

Sounds more like this child is rebelling for some reason, because I can’t think of any other reason why a child wouldn’t want a world where they didn’t spend every minute in panic worrying about when one of their schoolmates might murder them.

Hopefully the parents place that young man in some kind of appropriate counseling to figure out what’s going on here.

I was at today’s “March for Our Lives” rally at the Washington Monument with my son and saw a commotion near the front, with people running away around 1:45pm. Does anyone know what happened? We did not stick around to find out. Hope everyone is safe!
