Your post is confusing because then you mention that they don't have an open position. Why are you reaching out to them at all? Aren't you in a new job that you wanted? Stay there and put in some time!

You definitely seem unreliable if you turned down the original job for another job you wanted more and then were reapplying again 6 months later for the same job (even if you thought it was a different but similar one). The time for talking with them about any of this would have been when they offered you the interview at 6 months. At that point, you should have explained in a reasonable way why you were applying again, and it should have made sense. If your explanation wasn't what they wanted to hear (it sounds like it wasn't), then you are not going to get another opportunity there 6 months later.

Let this go. In a few years, you can try again. But none of this makes any sense, and it would not benefit you to reach out to them again.[/quote]
