I flipped the steak over and there was chimichurri/cilantro on the bottom.  I asked for the manager and first thing he said was the server lied to me.  They gave me a new steak and comped it but I honestly wasn't in the mood to eat it at that point.

Am I wrong to think this was a big F U from the kitchen for asking that my steak be cooked as ordered?  Is it common practice to wipe off an unwanted topping and bring it back?  What if it was something I am allergic to?  I have never had an experience like this and still a bit gob smacked by it.  [/quote]
