DD's team has lost players mid-season every year for three years. How unusual is that? We didn't see this with older DS's teams where kids stayed the whole season like their contract requires. They are at the same club. DD has an excellent opportunity to go to another club and is probably going it to take it partly because it's been bothering her and us that kids seem to leave so often. We do not know those families that left well so we can't ask them. Are we misjudging this? Is this more common on the girls' side?
Of course you can ask the families whose daughters left—just email them. Usually when I see players leave mid season it’s because their parents care mostly about winning and / or their DD’s position, team placement or playing time doesn’t jibe with what the coaches think—everyone thinks their DD is Mia Hamm.
