The answers are obvious, the real question is; why do you not know the general reasons people have kids leave teams mid-season?

What sport? What is a player card? My kid played grassroots basketball, and there was a lot of movement between teams.
What is grassroots basketball? There were kids leaving in the middle of the season?
Grassroots is also called AAU, but it’s not really AAU because the teams/tournaments are not associated with the amateur athletic union. My kid played on a team sponsored by Nike, and they refer to their teams as grassroots.

Of course you can ask the families whose daughters left—just email them. Usually when I see players leave mid season it’s because their parents care mostly about winning and / or their DD’s position, team placement or playing time doesn’t jibe with what the coaches think—everyone thinks their DD is Mia Hamm.
If Mia Hamm didn’t believe in Mia Hamm, we wouldn’t all know the Mia Hamm that we know today.
And if she didn’t have the right support

My kids play club baseball and softball, and leaving mid-season is fairly unusual (and highly frowned upon- damages reputation). Plenty of turnover on teams between seasons however.
