my husband is on mood stabilizers and currently pregnant via IUI (to be honest that's why we did IUI instead of TI as I was worried about the impact of the meds on the sperm but all the semen analysis for multiple rounds of iui looked good)-- don't see any reason why an antidepressant would be worse [/quote]

he's a fully functioning successful wonderful loving adult- he needs constant meds and sometimes hospital stays (bipolar).  it may be hard but we'll help our child with whatever known or unknown difficulties they face in life.  i have my own chronic health issues, would never want an egg donor instead. The stigma in this thread is bizarre.  I once dated a guy with chron's who needed weekly biologic and had occasional hospitalizations due to bad flares- would you all not marry or have kids with someone with chrons or colitis?  Or just anyone with depression, adhd, etc,? [/quote]
