Is that all a salad spinner really does, and I have an unrealistic view?[/quote] NP here, I think you have unrealistic expectations. Most people don't expect lettuce to be perfectly dry! But your dish towel thing is not something I would want to do, so maybe the spinner is for those of us who don't like that. I rinse the Romaine leaves individually under the running tap and drop them in the spinner as I go. Then I dump what water is in the spinner bowl already, replace the basket in the bowl, and spin. The result is ready to eat.[/quote]
