Hi! Would you be willing to share a little bit about your delivery experience with HC4W at VHC?  I am due later this summer with my first, and love them so far...just have no idea what to expect at the hospital! Did you use a doula? [/quote]

I have delivered 3 kids with them. You don’t see the doctor much during labor and depending on how long it is you may be there for several shifts. The nurses though are very competent and caring. I do think they are having some staffing issues as I had some long waits after buzzing for the nurse.  I delivered there in February. You see the doctor one or twice in postpartum it you are mostly in the care of the nurses. I didn’t have a doula for any of the births and didn’t feel like I missed out.  Any specific questions?[/quote]
