I am facing the same situation at a new job.  Except I also have to wear a suit jacket.  Not even Michelle Obama dresses that way every day.  It's ridiculous and demeaning, but I need this job to feed my family, so if the fellas at the top want to dictate my dress code, then I have to just deal.  Men have to wear suits, so there is a dress code for everyone, but the women's dress code is stuck in 1982.
