However - this is 100% true - the “it” family in our neighborhood, everything you describe above and more, turns out a few years ago Dad had embezzled millions from clients AND was cheating with a coworker. Mom was a nice person (although definitely preferred her cool friends to us mortals) and I think truly had no idea. But she got a job, got a townhouse and seems to be doing right by the kids.
