No one is holding her hostage to one neighborhood. D.C. is big enough for any person to find the exact amenities that they want or need.....it only comes down to socioeconomics. Can OP's budget afford her expensive desires & tastes? If so, then the lack amenities that she is complaining about would be null because economically she could outsource or get her needs fulfilled elsewhere without much complaint. [/quote]
