UPDATE: I spoke with Verizon again. After several attempts to troubleshoot, they said it is under warranty and they are sending me a new one with the same #. We'll see how well this one works! I'm just surprised that every review page I read, whether it be Best Buy or the electronic trade sites, did not raise this as a common issue. The only place I saw this common complaint was on Verizon's own site.
This was going to be my suggestion, glad it worked.
UPDATE: We received the new device, but in the time it took to get here, the old one started to work again. It has been consistently charging for over a week now. Just got a notice from Verizon to ship my old watch back or risk getting charged. NOt sure what to do - should I send the new one back and risk the old one breaking down again, or just switch to the new one and send the old one back, that is now working?
