We knew we were going to go with a nanny so we hired a nanny with the understanding that she’d do night nanny work until I went back to work. She charged her regular rate ($25). She wasn’t a sleep specialist or anything and basically held DD all night in the first few weeks. I exclusively pumped so she gave DD her bottle feedings and I slept. It was wonderful!!
She was a fool and you’re gross for taking advantage of her
What an odd response. I don't see what is wrong with this scenario nor do I understand why you would believe the PP is "gross." $25/hour for a nanny to stay overnight who is not a postpartum doula or newborn specialist is a perfectly fine rate. A good chunk of this time is spent sleeping, so some would consider it a great rate.
