Postpartum doula and night nanny agency charges $30-$32/hr for 9pm - 5am.

What an odd response. I don't see what is wrong with this scenario nor do I understand why you would believe the PP is "gross." $25/hour for a nanny to stay overnight who is not a postpartum doula or newborn specialist is a perfectly fine rate. A good chunk of this time is spent sleeping, so some would consider it a great rate.

Nonsense. The nanny offered in the initial interview and set her own rate.

+1 hire a professional rather than a sitter willing to do nights.

It's a game changer.

We used a night nanny a few times. She charged $300 for 10 hours and offered either 8pm-6am or 9pm-7am. It was a godsend. I did wake up to pump, but otherwise got a full night of sleep, which I desperately needed. I would find someone who routinely works as a night nanny or postpartum doula, rather than a babysitter from care.com who is willing to come over night.

The going rate is $30-35/hr. The most common hours are 10pm-6am but some families do 11-7 or 9-5. Typically night nannies have an 8 hour minimum, but many will work 10 or 12 hours depending on the family's needs.. 4-6 nights per week is average and many are happy to do a mix of week nights and weekend nights.

Happy to answer any other questions. I was a night nanny on and off for 10 years and now place them through an agency.

11 to 7 in our case. Friends had a night nanny who did 8 to 8.

Look on care.com for night nanny or infant care specialist. The good ones book out in advance.

We paid $45 an hour three years ago but it wasn’t a regular gig. She was a temp we brought in when we got desperate one night.

I paid $32 on early 2020. My suggestion is to broaden your search and look for postpartum doulas who will work nights, there are a lot of those out there.

Question is in the title. What is the going rate for a night nanny? Where is a great place to search for a night nanny? Positive reviews on using a night nanny would be helpful. Thank you for the positive feedback.
