Student who are not doing remedial work are not allowed to just come to school and sit in an empty classroom, which was what my kid wanted to do. If your kid isn't inclined to come up with a project, they need to make that clear pretty early on and someone will find them something to do, but the bar for what counts is pretty low. [/quote]

So glad my son's HS has required service projects/hours and programs to fulfill the requirement each year of HS.
