Lafayette has some nice stuff for kids to work through the choices and issues. "work through" choices and issues? Are you kidding me? These kids are now in therapy because of mask decisions?
well, some of these kids literally believe they will kill people if they don't wear a mask. So that's the burden we've put on kids, and yeah, it's going to take a lot for some of them to work through that. Empathy is your friend.
+1 Not at Lafayette but I paged through the PK-3 story to see if it's something I might want to suggest at our school. The message is pretty basic and makes sense -- mostly just making sure kids understand the rules and emphasizing that some kids and grown-ups might still make outside and that's ok too. And honestly, as someone who has worked in organizational communications, this is how you are supposed to introduce policy changes in order to get buy-in and ensure that people have a chance to raise questions. The concept is even more important when the organization has a population with little say in the policy itself, and who may struggle with change (you know, like little kids?).
