Yes it exists - in Chevy Chase area. Lots of people that have either been here their whole lives or others that have moved in and gone to private high school/prep school or college with them. Remember the "Women for Kavanaugh" group? That's them.[/quote]

Oh interesting; I didn't realize that it's so hyper-local.  I was aware that political affiliation groups existed, I didn't realize they're more insular here; I interpreted the ballet thread as referring to there being some long-standing Republican social hierarchy.  :lol:

It’s not just Chevy Chase, it’s parts of upper NW, it’s Kalorama, its Georgetown, it’s Mass Ave Heights, it’s McLean. It’s wherever the money is, there’s going to be a subset of Republican think tankers and lobbyists and lawyers even in a very Democratic area.

Anyone still a Republican after the last 5 years is a MAGA idiot, whether they voted for him or not.

Only 10 Republicans voted to impeach Trump despite his blatant and brazen crimes. Those Republicans were censured, insulted, and ostracized from the party. Republicans continue to downplay Trump's violent insurrection and illegally stonewall a legitimate investigation. The entire spineless party acquiesced to Trump's every whim. To this day absolutely none of them will speak out against his presumed 2024 candidacy.  If you vote red, you are a MAGA idiot, plain and simple.  At least have the courage and conviction to own it.[/quote]
