OP here. Yes, my kids are 2 years apart too. My older child is perfectly happy rear facing for now, so I would love to wait until 3.5 or 4 before turning her around. I think my baby will outgrow the infant seat before she’s ready to turn around, so can’t go straight to a high backed booster but definitely looking for options that are better for leapfrogging the Nuna to whichever kid needs to still be rear facing. The Graco Slim Fit 3 in 1 also goes from rear facing to forward facing to high back booster. Compared to diono, my sister says it has an easier install and her younger one seems comfier than her older did in the diono.[/quote]

This is basically what we just did. We had our older rear facing in her Extend2Fit car seat, which she outgrew at age 5. We just transitioned her to a ride safer travel vest and my 2.5yo son from a cheap Cosco seat to the other one. We don't drive often at all but this general idea could work for you.[/quote]
