One of the "consequences" for trans children is the increased risk of suicide. If it was my child, I would do everything in my power to reduce that risk, including having conversations with extended family if my DC wanted me to. Those relatives might surprise you -- I know many families that have gone through this and the support from extended family has been extraordinary for many.[/quote]
