How are electric cars better for the environment here?[/quote] DP.. not all electricity is coal powered, even so, getting off of cars that emit noxious gas is better for the environment, both locally and globally. My only concern about being all electric is the burden on the electricity grid, which in areas that rely on A/C during the summer could be an issue. Also, if the Tesla has issues while driving, and it loses power, the car is like a brick that is stuck in the middle of the road.
