FWIW, I've been in that 'I don't know what to do, I'm so lost, please help me' situation with my DD before and came to this board for help.  My mind was chaotic, and I didn't post every single detail at first because 1) I didn't want to out myself 2) I was in denial 3) I didn't know how relevant some details were until people started expressing certain points and 4) I wanted immediate answers, not talk to a therapist answers.

I believe her post to be true.  I could very well see myself explaining the situation and letting the story evolve exactly as she did.  The only difference is I would ignore the cries of "fake" so as not to be accused of thou dost protest too much![/quote]
