The sheer brutality of the murder-- struck over 300 times with any and every blunt object (a hammer, a merchandize peg, etc.) that Norwood could get her hands on-- the pleas for mercy overheard by the Apple Store employees-- that's what makes this case different. It's just horrifying, and it doesn't happen every day.[/quote]
