Sahm here. Former nanny. Montessori trained. I've applied for nanny positions where I bring my child, but the pay is laughable. $10 or less an hour. A lot of times, it's been $6. Anyway, I am moving on from that. I have an associate's degree in behavioral science and 2 Montessori certifications. My spouse brings in a high income. I initially thought I could have an in-home preschool instead all an all-day program, but a lot of people gravitate towards in-home when they have babies. It would be hard to do Montessori preschool activities while taking care of a young baby. I guess I have to figure out which ages I want to target. Right now, I have a 23-month-old. My townhouse is beautiful. I decorate it nicely. No pets. We have a walkout rec room with access to a play structure I set up. A potential negative is that my husband works from home two days a week. He's a cancer researcher. In-home daycare is more personal, so I am giving you these details. We only have one car, so DH will have it when he's working the other days. I mentioned this because of emergencies. I wouldn't be making field trips. I feel comfortable installing a camera so parents can see their children from an app. I'm not sure about including food. We eat healthily. Not a lot of sugary or processed food. Let me know what you think and what you look for. I know I wouldn't make as much money with a small ratio, but I am okay with that. I would have 1-2 clients, and that's in addition to my two children. My oldest son is in kinder until 3. He takes the bus home.
