I cannot pretend to know how GotSoccer points are allocated and then calculated behind the scenes, but there is at least one WAGS U14 flight champ that earned 120 points (4 wins, no losses over the weekend). The 2nd-place team earned 354 points (3 wins, 1 loss ... to the flight champ). My DD's team won two matches and lost two, and managed to earn 150 points (finished 3rd overall), which is still more than the flight winner. The flight itself was "valued" at 349 points. Flight winner: https://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?TeamID=1105692 And I thought GS didn't make much sense before the tournament ...
Here’s the link for how flight values and point awards are determined. 20% of a team’s current GotSoccer points are deducted when determining the amount of points awarded. So if the flight value was 500 points, but a team has 2,000 GotSoccer points, that team would only earn 100 points (500 less 20% of 2,000). A team winning with 100 Gotsoccer points would be awarded 480. As others have stated, GotSoccer doesn’t mean much in the long run as it only looks at tournaments played in from a ranking standpoint, but is used for flighting purposes for tournaments. https://gotsoccer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005434227-How-are-flight-values-calculated-for-rankings-
