Talent is spread out over too many teams. There is no centralized player pool. The club is fixing that with the current U9s, but as a parent, this seems to be the biggest problem.
This, and it will just take 3-5 years for that imact to be felt. Plus other clubs come in and try to cherry pick the top talent that actually is in the academy and the academy in the past hasn't done its homework on the top talent that is on the bridge teams and misses out on having some of those on the ECNL rosters. There are several bridge players at age level from U13-U17 who would be starters on existing BRYC ECNL rosters. Between the bridge U10G team and the three bridge U11G teams where several U10s are playing up there are enough for 2 more 7v7 teams at the U10 level that would be able to challenge the current top U10G team. Consolidate that talent and that would be a very competitive team of 2012s come time for 11v11 when mixed with the current top U10G team. One of the challenges at the youngest age group will be are they going to have enough staff to cover all the teams as those U9s move onto U11/U12 and U13+. There will be potential for at least three teams at all age levels in 3-6 years with the adjustments now.
