Potomac's campus is stunning. They use the wooded area and recently built, incredible, sports complex. The Lower School is wonderful. We really like the fact that there are four divisions so they separate out the 7th and 8th graders and focus in the Intermediate school on their diverse needs. Their alumni (like many schools in the DMV) are an impressive lot and they often come back to speak. While it is rigorous, my three children of varying abilities all find it manageable. The most rigorous is the Upper School but there is a lot of support. I understand that FH has fantastic learning support resources, probably better than Potomac. People can be critical of the Potomac parent body but we have found it to be welcoming and inclusive. Our one graduate had her choice of colleges but we were never striving for a highly selective college. She left Potomac feeling incredibly well-prepared for college - academically and socially. Our other two lifers are making their way through with joy and a level of involvement that makes it worth the cost.
