I think I have a similar set up in my row house but I can't quite figure out what you're describing. Our living room is in the back of the house. At one end we have French doors flanked by windows opening to the backyard. Our couch is perpendicular to the French doors, floating about 6' off the back wall and facing a fireplace. We have two armchairs sort of flanking the fireplace but angled toward the couch. A coffee table sits in the middle. You could do something similar but place the chairs perpendicular to the couch, facing each other. Depending on how much room you have, you can place the chairs in front of the fireplace or closer to the couch to enable conversation. [/quote]
