So babysitting of the type that existed when I was a kid - irregular work for extra money - doesn't exist anymore? Really? My mom used to have a few people she could call to find out who was available. But by that point we'd lived in our town for a decade and she had a lot more social connections to families with teenagers than I do now. [/quote]

Bread was once 5  cents a loaf a d now it's $5/loaf.  Times change.  Why would anyone want to work like this.  You want me then you pay me to keep these days just for you.[/quote]
