I don't really want to send my 6 year old to aftercare, as my workplace seems ok with me working 7-3:30, so I can pick up most days. But my husband is pretty convinced we need it "just in case." I would love a couple of occasional sitters we could call once or twice a month for schedule changes. Just no idea how to find them. Is it all word of mouth?
Good luck with this concept.
So babysitting of the type that existed when I was a kid - irregular work for extra money - doesn't exist anymore? Really? My mom used to have a few people she could call to find out who was available. But by that point we'd lived in our town for a decade and she had a lot more social connections to families with teenagers than I do now.
