I also think a lot of people just really lack imagination and simply cannot envision a life outside of the marriage-home-kids paradigm. I've met so many people who talk about how they feel sorry for people who don't have kids or who are single past a certain age. On the one hand, it's nice that they appreciate what they have. On the other hand, I know so many people who are single or childless by choice, or who clearly have amazing lives without those things, and it's sooooo condescending to me to assume that everyone wants exactly what you have.[/quote]
