Liberal approaches to religion are just Atheism Lite.  Either you believe in it, literally, or you don't. If you believe that Jesus was the Son of God, sent here to redeem Mankind, then you cannot also believe in the Hindoo elephant god.[/quote]

They aren't atheism lite. Goodness. Everyone believes in whatever helps them get through the day and make sense of the world around them. It's not like there is an actual mathematical proof for any of it. It's really each person's business - not sure why you care so much.  Actions are more important than what someone simply believes.
