Plus I like being able to tuck shirts into high waisted pants and have my waist emphasized. I hated the low rise trend, and it was particularly miserable in work clothes. Everyone looked so dumb tucking blouses and shirts into pants that only came midway up the hip. It tends to make you look blocky and shapeless. I know there are work tops that are designed to be worn untucked, but these usually look a little sloppy to me and are particularly unappealing under a suit jacket. When I used to have to go to court regularly, I wound up getting everything tailored to sit up on my waist because otherwise everything was cut too low. Also so uncomfortable when you have to sit and stand repeatedly and the lower rise means you're always adjusting the waist band.

High rise is so much better.[/quote]
