INFAMOUS Stupid Y game a few years ago.  DS’ team had SEVEN for an entire u17 Super Y match!  Only lost 0-4 against an opponent with one sub.  Coach told us after the game thank you for playing, you just saved the club from a $500 penalty for going through with the game!!!  We had driven over hour away for the game.  Needless to say, I was NOT happy to have wasted the time and money for that summer of BS.[/quote]

Have to tell you that does not sound like a waste of time for your son.  Important life lesson.  Sometimes you are undermanned and you still do what you can do.  0-4 is a good result.  Something they can be proud of.  Plus the good will with the coach.  That is life.  It sucks, is hard, and you lose.  How you deal with that determines your future.  Resilience.  It can be learned.  I would have loved that game.[/quote]
