It makes sense to compare BSC to rec because BSC has one of the weakest girls programs in the area. That club isn't in the same league as elite clubs like McLean, FCV or Pipeline. BSC parents are probably better off doing rec than spending money to travel out of state to get destroyed by superior teams. A buddy of mine with a girl on the BSC u18/19 team said he overheard a parent from the opponent complain that they wasted time traveling from NJ to Bethesda play such a weak team and that the local rec team in Jersey would have been a better opponent. I get that people like to crap on BSC but this is absolutely ludicrous. Maybe some 3rd/4th teams, but there isn't a single second girls team that wouldn't absolutely destroy any rec team, period. [/quote]
