Wouldn’t you like to know??? For me, weights/cardio (run, bike, swim, etc...) six days a week. Only eat one big meal (mainly vegetables, lean protein) around 2 pm. Small snack around 8. Early 50s. Reality is that you just have to limit your intake. Most folks don’t have the discipline to maintain. I’ve been same weight (+|- 5 pounds) since early 20s. It’s not easy and gets harder each year.
How do you maintain the discipline?
I don’t feel “normal” unless I workout. I’ve been doing it for so long that it’s just part of my life. I’ve had two major injuries, both caused me to be on crutches, for months. Even then, I still did something (chair cardio...look it up on YouTube). For food, I used to have a major sugar addiction until my mid 40s. Have greatly reduced my intake. The majority of my friends are also athletic/healthy lifestyles... Like them, I’ve transitioned to whole foods and clean eating past six or seven years. Has made a huge difference. I still allow myself treats, but only occasionally. I also don’t drink alcohol—mainly because I’m a lightweight and feel horrible the following day. I play a competitive sport (travel around the country for events) and want to be able to do so for decades to come. I will also say that being wealthy is nice, but my health is just as important to me. So I make it a priority.
