I agree with OP. In our years on the youth soccer scene in this area, I've seen such awful behavior from parents on the sidelines and on this forum. It is surreal how adults act when it comes to children playing sports. Honestly I don't think my childless friends would even believe half the crap i've seen. I'm sure some of the grievances regarding coaches, administrative staff and others aired on this board are true but some of you should take it up directly with the person you have a problem with or just leave the club.
Ultimately the club begins to to members. Without the families there are no clubs. Rather than getting run out by the coaches the club should listen to the parents more.
Agree. But in order for clubs to respond, parent have to first talk to them about the issue. If it isn't resolved families will leave.
Yes but you also must realize not all but many coaches have an large ego and sometimes even arrogant demeanor. If you talk to coaches separately They are quick to point out other coaches short comings. They tell parents what they think they want to hear then do whatever they want. Communication should constantly ongoing with both player and family if you expect to see player development. Many coaches especially at BRYC have minimal communication and use the manager (a parent) as the go between.
