Our nanny had been struggling with keeping our daughter on a nap schedule. She can’t get her down at the same time and when she does fall asleep she can’t get her to transfer to the crib without waking and then just holds her during the nap. While we appreciate any napping, she can’t seem to let her cry it out and also doesn’t seem to be able to successfully know when she can put her down without waking. I don’t know what to do because I am the only one who seems to be able to get my daughter to nap in her crib. Bedtime is not a problem for us, and 99 percent of the time our daughter sleeps 12 hours all night.
Are you at home with the nanny?
Yes we are both working from home. We try to stay out of sight as much as possible.
This is your issue here. She does not want the baby to cry so that it does not reflect poorly on her. She does not want to let the baby cry so that it won't interrupt your work. She also needs to be consistent with nap time and that is a factor as to why she's not napping, but the real reason is that nanny does not want to let the baby cry for the reasons above.
